De kettingskoppeling bestaat uit een schachtkoppeling van 2 rijen van rolketting en 2 tanden wordt geassembleerd die die hen in dienst nemen.
De kettingseinden kunnen eenvoudig worden verbonden of worden ontmanteld.
De originele KANA-structuur is dusdanig dat het geval in twee loodrecht aan de schacht is verdeeld, en gevallen 3012 tot 8022 hebben een V-vormige groef aan beide die kanten met een O-ring wordt opgenomen om olielekken te verhinderen.
